Ellie sleeping here last night was clearly a settling influence on Jasper. Other than a couple of plaintiff cries, he didn't disturb us. Ellie woke soon after 06:30 but remained in her room until 07:00, then the day kicked into gear. Having dropped Ellie at school we returned home for breakfast and prepared for the shopping.
Ocado arrived at the start of their timeslot and soon after we were heading for Sainsbury's for the top-up. The rest of the morning was spent on admin. The early afternoon saw the Kindle flashing from page to page as I read my latest book. Outside, the rain was thrashing down, so I told Diane to stay put when the school pickup time approached. We may only be 5 minutes walk from the school but Ellie and I were completely soaked by the time we arrived home.
Once she had dried off and changed, she did some maths and some reading with Diane while I prepared dinner. She has just gone home with Zoe.
