Chilly

 It was very chilly overnight. Soon after 05:00, Ellie wandered into our room and asked for a time check. How long until she out play in her room. I explained that there was well over an hour to go and that she should return to bed, which she did. At 06;30 she announced that the clock had turned yellow and she could now play. I agreed but impressed on her that it should be quiet play.

We got up at the usual time and went through the usual morning protocol. The only variation was that Lorraine (who had an early meeting at the Hospital) dropped Maddie off. So that we could walk her to school with Ellie.

After the school run and some breakfast we got on with the day. Diane fired up the washing machine for some laundry, and I settled down in the study with the journal edit for last year. I have returned to it several times throughout the day and have now got as far as Mid-April.

After lunch we had some quiet time with our Kindles before I went off to collect Ellie from school. Goodness, it was chilly and it was nice to get back int warm.
