Well that was a good start to the day. The Gorse Fox did his usual morning check of online accounts and found two transaction amounting to over £500 of "pending" on one account. Quick phone call to Barclaycard soon saw an end to that. Card is now disabled and we await a new one.
The Gorse Fox is glad he checks these things so regularly but is troubled at how anyone got hold of the information.

Cards
The phone rang.
It was a nice lady from the credit card company. The Gorse Fox had just paid for some flights so he was not surprised. They are very good at spotting odd transactions.
GF was less than amused. He has determined that card cloning/theft should be punishable by chemical castration or death. You may think this a bit extreme, but GF believes it to be firm but fair and that it would act as a deterrent!

"I would just like to check some transaction against your card" she said. We went through the usual security verification process and then she read out the transaction for the trip GF had just booked. It would appear that some little erk has cloned the GF's card and started trying to spend his harde-earned money.
"Yes, no problem" GF explained.
"What about ...." she said, reeling off a catalogue of recent transactions.
"No"
"No"
"No"
"No"
"Definitely, not"
and so the conversation continued.

Crime
Those of you who have followed the recent story of the dog-bin will realise what a worry it can be when your locality is being targeted by some major crime lord.
Well we've just heard that a SWAT team was sent to a car park in Angmering. After some reconnaissance they managed to recover the stolen dog-bin and return it. It is not clear whether the contents were intact. The perpetrator of this villainy has not yet been identified, but GF is assured that the county's finest are leading the investigation.
