Ellie burst into the house. She was wide awake and eager to swing into the day. She was being picked up by a school friend for a playdate. So it was that at 9:30 she disappeared for the rest of the morning. Meanwhile, Diane went out to try and sort out a shortfall in her meds provision. Needless to say, this did not go smoothly. She will try again in the morning.
I started clearing the Orangery in preparation for the forthcoming celebrations.
I wandered around to collect Ellie from Sophia's then, when we had finished a snack lunch, we loaded the car. We had been due to visit Trevor and Sue last weekend but my cold prevented that. Now that I am fairly well recovered we could try again. We drove across to Brighton and joined the inherent chaos of their home at Xmas time. Ellie was delighted as her cousins, Cara and Emma, had arrived just before us. We spent a pleasant couple of hours with them all, catching up on family news and plans.
We left after a couple of hours and made our way back. The plan was to get back in time for the Rotary Santa Claus parade that is scheduled for this evening.
