I was up early again so that Ellie could be dropped off. She was like a Zombie when she arrived and we hardly got a word out of her for the first hour or so. She had played up last night and the disruption to her usual schedule had clearly taken its toll.
Diane has developed a sore throat and sounds seriously rattly. My cough is not really subsiding. We decided it was time to contact the Sonning Crew and drop out of the planned New Year's Eve festivities. Neither of us will be clear by Sunday night and we don't want to spread the infection further.
While Di and Ellie got washed and dressed, I headed for the pharmacy to collect the meds Di had ordered, yesterday. From there I went to Sainsbury's to complete our weekly shop. The shop wasn't too busy, but clearly most of the people that were there had been donors in full frontal lobotomies. A patrol with a baseball bat would not have been an unreasonable response to the chaos they were causing... but Sainsbury's had clearly decided against this option.
We had a quiet afternoon as Ellie and Diane played "Operation" until Daren came to collect her. Nothing else is planned for the day.
