We had another glorious start to the day. Zoe was starting at 09:00 so we didn't have Ellie here, I wandered around for the school run at 08:30.
After breakfast, I paid some bills and started experimenting with the photos that had given me trouble at the weekend. Counting up, there are only 38 to deal with. I tried the first one, blew it up to full size, and then edited it so that I could save a copy. Sure enough, the copy had discarded the "Live" (i.e. motion) aspects of the photo and saved it with the correct metadata. It will be tedious, but I have a way forward.
Diane was due at the surgery for a blood test at midday. I needed to get out for a walk so I could return in plenty of time (we were expecting a delivery). I plugged my AirPods into my ears and set off. The book was reaching a climax and I was thoroughly enjoying it. When I returned home, some 4km later, the book was on a bit of a cliffhanger. I paused it for later.
After lunch, we had a Kindle hour before collecting Ellie. I deliberately set off early. My plan was another short walk and another 20-30 minutes of the book. It wasn't finished by the time I met up with Ellie, but she wanted to go to the park. Ideal! I took her along to the park and plugged my AirPods back in. Fifteen minutes later, Ellie had had enough on the swings and my book was finished. I can absolutely recommend "Dry Bones" by Peter May - it was an excellent and quite gripping story.
