The Gorse Fox had an appointment scheduled with the chiropodist on Friday. They phoned in advance, as they always do, to remind him of the appointment. The Gorse Fox was surprised that they were open, but apparently, under Lockdown 3.0, they were claiming exemption as a "medical treatment". The Gorse Fox thought about this for a moment, then told them that whilst their operation may be justified under the letter of the Lockdown rules, he didn't feel that it conformed to the spirit of the Lockdown. He would not be attending.
With the high transmissibility of the current Covid-19 mutation, sitting in a small room with a stranger who has been meeting people all day seems like an avoidable risk.
