Cake walk

Urban cub managed to get away from work on time and was home soon after eleven last night.  She had seen that Lidl was discounting some end of date items and ended up bringing home two huge cakes (not that we eat cake as a rule). Goodness knows how we'll get through this 40p investment.

It had been very cold again overnight. Simon the Landscaper sent us a message to say he would return on Monday, when the weather is forecast to be a little warmer. This makes sense as we don't want problems caused by ice crystals in the resin or the mortar.

It was lovely and bright, and having been limited in opportunities to walk for the last couple of days, the Gorse Fox headed out. He made his way down to Bognor and dropped into Morrisons. He had arranged to collect a prescription from the Coventry Hobbit. (They have car trouble and are limited to bus routes for the moment). Having fought through the usual zombies who seem to frequent the store, he found the Hobbit and squirrelled the prescription away. He headed down to the seafront.

The sea was as calm as he had ever seen it. There were people about, but not many. The Gorse Fox was able to stride down toward West Fields without too much zigging and zagging. Then he looped back inland and headed for West Meads so that he could post the prescription through the surgery door. Finally, he headed home. It was a nice 5-mile loop and it really got the blood pumping.
