What?

It was a lovely bright day. We had all slept well, and the Gorse Fox treated himself to a lie-in, not emerging for his coffee until 7:40.

Urban-Cub and the Silver Vixen had plans. They were intent on clearing all the various deliveries that have been accumulating, and sorting out Ellie's toys, books, crafts, and clothes so that everything was ready for the move. The Gorse Fox got on with some admin then headed out for a walk. This had to incorporate Sainsbury's as Urban-Cub needed a few bits picked up.

The Gorse Fox zigged and zagged in the general direction of the retail park. He was listening to his "Simon Evans Goes to Market" stream and quite lost in the moment when he did a double take. Parked outside a house was a small car (Peugot, Vauxhall, or the like). It was displaying large decals on each side. These decals identified it as something to do with the Macmillan Nurses. For those not familiar with the wonderful people. They care and support cancer patients throughout their treatment - whatever the outcome. Sitting in the driving was a chap with a cut glass ash try stuck to the dash board, and puffing away at a cigarette. This clearly was not a one-off as the car absolutely reeked of stale smoke. The Gorse Fox is not implying he was a nurse (though he may have been) but suspects he was something to do with patient transport. The Gorse Fox can only say that if he was a patient he would not go near that car.

Pistol Pete dropped Ellie off late afternoon. She's clearly had a nice time, and is very chirpy at the moment.
