I've just come across the "Drafts" app. This seems to be an immensely useful tool on both the Apple watch the iPhone and the iPad. It is a single place for inputting text which can then be shared with whichever application you wish. Better still, you can use voice dictation.
Unlike Siri, the dictation isn’t limited to 45 seconds. It should be good for taking messages or notes or blog posts while on the move
