Simon the Landscaper returned for the final gravel traps and then to go round all his work with a fine toothed comb. He is meticulous. By mid-morning he was finished and we are delighted with the outcome. It'll be a few days before we can move the furniture and plants back because the resin-based grout takes a while to cure in damp weather. It's no problem, however. We weren't planning a garden party or any sunbathing in the next few days.
Ellie was at Dizzy Ducklings during the day.
Several metric tonnes Amazon-cardboard has accumulated over the past few weeks. The Gorse Fox attacked it with a box-cutter and flattened it all down so that it would fit in the car. A quick trip to the tip saw the end of it and has revealed the running machine, which had been buried underneath. In the current inclement weather, that seems like a good alternative to cold, wet walks.
The Gorse Fox and Silver Vixen made the most of the quiet time to do bits of admin and some reading before popping back to collect Ellie. After the disturbed night she had last night we had expected her to be a bit grumpy, but she was fine. She was quiet and obviously tired.
