It was another lovely day, weather-wise. Urban-Cub took Ellie to the child-minder as she had a day off. The problem there was that by lunchtime the child-minder’s daughter had been sent home from school with a cough so all the children the minder care for were sent home and will not be allowed back for at least two weeks.
The Gorse Fox had a few items needed for today’s supper. He, again, walked into Shripney and wandered into Sainsbury’s. Not a single item that was on his list was available. The shelves were bare. As he wandered back, empty handed, via the checkouts a member of staff apologised that his trip had been in vain. He made it very clear that he did not believe it was her fault, nor her problem. As he pointed it, it was the fault of the knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing, single digit IQ morons who I have unnecessarily been panic buying.
He wandered on the M&S. He was luckier there. One item from his list was available. He then headed for Lidl. He has come to the conclusion that Lidl is a portal to the Twilight Zone. As you enter, you start to see life forms shuffling round the aisles the like of which you would never see in the general populace.
The afternoon was spent going through photos for 2003, selecting the best ones for the next photo book.
