Basket case

The Gorse Fox was first up this morning. There was a bright blue sky, and bright morning sunshine. It looked lovely. There was a bitterly cold wind, however. Urban-Cub and Ellie were next down, then the Silver Vixen. We had a leisurely breakfast before heading off to various corners of the house to get on with our various morning tasks. The Gorse Fox actually managed to finish the weekly accounts before Ocado turned up, for a change.  (As a rule the arrive just after he opens the spreadsheet).

Urban-Cub had an appointment in Chichester and Ellie stayed with us. We had a couple of errands to run. We nipped along to the local pharmacy then off to Magnet’s (in Chichester) where the Gorse Fox had some wire trays on order. There a six of these trays and Mr Personality, who was manning the desk, grudgingly took our details and murmured that he knew where they were and grunted that he would be back before long. We waited. He took the boxed baskets to the door of the warehouse and told the Gorse Fox “reverse your car up and load them as they are heavy”. It was clear the Gorse Fox had to do as he was told. He reversed up then had to decide which of the pallet trucks had his order. He loaded the (not very) heavy baskets into the car and drove home. These boxed baskets are nestling in the corner of the Orangery waiting for the Gorse Fox to spring into action.
