The worldwide panic is still in full swing over COVID-19. Today the FA and Premiership have announced the suspension of the leagues for the next few weeks. The airports are quiet, the train stations are moderately quiet. People seem to be avoiding crowds. Various cruise lines have cancelled upcoming cruises, ports are being closed to cruise liners.
We are not panicking. We are taking sensible precautions, but we are not panic buying, we are not cancelling holidays, we are not staying in any more than usual. It seems that the Government is taking scientific advice as to the best way forward and, needless to say, everyone else seems to know better.
We have a trip to Jamaica scheduled for a couple of months hence. Hopefully nothing will interfere with it, but as the Gorse Fox's mantra says "adapt and survive". Having said that, we do have to be sensibly cautious, given our age and the state of health.
