Isolation

Well, it's not forced isolation. It is isolation due to the fact there was no need to go anywhere today and the weather wasn't exactly conducive to going out. There was a bitter wind and a flat, grey sky.

The Gorse Fox found himself stretched out on the floor in the Orangery playing with Ellie and her Lego. As he instructed her in the finer arts of building, she slowly covered the Gorse Fox in stickers. Urban-cub relieved him and decided that it was time to make some gingerbread men. The Gorse Fox retired to the study and continued the selection of photos for the last year of the next photo book. With that done he started on the compilation of the book itself. So far, he has just got the annual pre-ambles written.

After lunch, Urban-cub had a conference call scheduled regarding the immediate plans for staff at Gatwick during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ellie has a knack of becoming troublesome during phonecalls so the Gorse Fox took her out for a walk. We started at the park, then walked around the lake to the dock where we feed the ducks. The ducks were clearly self-isolating today. None of them turned up even when Ellie shouted "Ducks!".
