Chasing Rainbows

It has been another lovely day with almost cloudless skies. There is a very cool wind, however. Urban-cub has a late shift at the airport today, but that will be her last shift for a week due to the transport slow down and stay home advice.

While the Silver Vixen got Ellie bathed and dressed the Gorse Fox spent some time in the study compiling the photos for 2002 in the latest photo book. There is a 20% discount at present, so if the Gorse Fox can complete the book by Monday it should be a significant saving.

Once Ellie was "in full swing" the Gorse Fox was dragged into the garden to have a tea party on the deck, then to play ball, then to chase her around the garden. This took us up to lunchtime. After lunch we try to encourage "quiet time" - this is as much for us as it is for her! She managed to sleep for a while, then the Gorse Fox took her out for a walk.

Again we walked down to the lake to see the ducks, then walked around the lake.

As we went, we watched for pictures of rainbows in the windows. We took a different route this time and headed around towards the community centre. This was very fruitful in the rainbow-chasing stakes. By the time we got home, we had seen 26 rainbows and Ellie was delighted that she had Grandpa handy to do the counting (and to carry her on his shoulders for part of the way).
