It has been a glorious day. The sun has shone brightly and though it was quite chilly first thing, it has warmed up quite nicely. The Gorse Fox took Ellie across to the childminder in LA. We had a sing-song of nursery rhymes all the way across. Perhaps it's a good thing the windows weren't open! As we passed the railway sidings she chirped up "We could get the train to Mummy's work". The Gorse Fox agreed. The trains stop at Gatwick. Spot on. She went on to explain "we couldn't go by aeroplane because I don't have any big shoes". The Gorse Fox was stumped. He is an experienced air traveller but hadn't realised that the size of his shoes was a determining factor when flying.
Back home, with another coffee tucked away he realised that tonight's Butter Chicken would need some coriander and he was out of stock. Shoes back on and camera tucked under his arm he decided to walk into Shripney as the weather was so nice.
He was surprised, as he crossed the Aldingbourne Rife, at how the field had drained. This time last week, all this view would have looked like a huge lake.
He dropped into Lidl for his shopping. That was a mistake. Not because he couldn't find what he wanted, but rather because of the time spent queueing to pay at the tills.
