Scorcheroo

It has been a hot day. In Wales, it has broken the all time temperature record - Welsh people have been seen staggering out of their houses wondering what the bright light was in the sky. Several have even taken off their usual rainwear. In parts of the England the temperatures have been in the hight 30s. Living here on the South Coast we have the great advantage of sea breezes to ameliorate the heat and it has only reached the low 30s here. It may be the sunniest place in the country, but that doesn't mean the most extreme. It probably is, however, one of the most comfortable.

Ellie was dropped off as usual and after breakfast we dropped here round to school. We then had a quiet day. The Silver Vixen managed to get some time in front of the sewing machine while the Gorse Fox filed some new photos and then settled down with his books.

We collected Ellie from school and after a snack she elected to go home where Darren could supervise her in the pool. This has given us an unexpectedly quiet evening.
