Knees

 It was a gentle start before heading off for football;. In fact, the Gorse Fox had a chance to read the paper and finish a book, He headed off to football while the Silver Vixen went to hairdresser before spending the rest of the day with Urban-Cub.

Football was a blast, as usual. We had enough players for two 6 teams of 6 and two teams of 7. The Gorse Fox was, as expected on a team of 6. the first game was a satisfactory 2-2 draw. The Gorse Fox's main contribution in this game was blocking shots from the opposition. One such block involved a kneecap-to-kneecap clash that left both of us limping for a while.

The second game was another satisfactory 1-1 draw. The final game, which looked the hardest, ended up as a solid 3-1 win. The Gorse Fox would not say it was one of his greatest performances, but it was adequate.

Once home, the Gorse Fox returned to his books and buried himself therein until the Silver Vixen returned. Another complete book was consumed, and yet another is part way through.
