It was a gentle start to the day. The Gorse Fox headed off to Ford for the Sunday football session around 9:00 and waited for the lads to turn up. We were meant to have 5-v-5 session but one player failed to materialise so we had to juggle the teams. The Gorse Fox re-juggled so it was 5-v-4 with him on the team with 4 (orange).
The first half was very intense, but teamwork, passing, and determination saw us go in at half-time at 7-7, even. The Gorse Fox was pleased to have contributed 4 of our 7 goals. At half time, one player had to drop out. He was experiencing dizzy spells. He said he would give it 5 minutes and rejoin - the Gorse Fox put his foot down. He would not come back today.
The second half was 4-v-4 so at least we were no longer outnumbered. Again it was very intense and the Gorse Fox found he was gasping for breath at times. We fought on, however, and ended up 12-11 winners with 4 further goals (or was it 5) from the Gorse Fox. He was very content at the end of the game, he had been on fire... but really needed a shower when he got home.
The rest of the day has been pretty quiet. A couple of brief visits from Urban-Cub, but the rest of the time pottering about or reading.
