Ellie was dropped off soon after 7:00. She took a few minutes to burst into life, but was her normal self once the usual morning regimen commenced. We dropped her off at school. She was very excited because her friend Bonnie was back after a bout of chicken pox. Heaven help the teacher today.
We returned home for breakfast and to await delivery of the Ocado order. This turned out to be chaotic. The order we had placed seemed to have been completely ignored or lost and we got our default order. We didn't want the default order. There were two and half cucumbers (we already have one and half in the fridge), there were two large hands of bananas - we are not currently consuming bananas.... so it went on. Chaos. We returned what we could immediately. The rest has been tucked away for future use.
The Ocado cock-up (as it will be known henceforth) meant that the Gorse Fox had to reassemble the Sainsbury's list. It was late morning by the time we got there. We managed to pick up everything we needed.
The Gorse Fox spent some time, this afternoon, deleting all of the predictive lists that Ocado seems to have generated. He also resubmitted the core list for each Thursday in the following month. At least if that goes wrong, we will receive stuff we actually need most weeks.
The Gorse Fox spent the afternoon reading while the Silver Vixen chatted to the Gorse Fox's sister, Jane.
As we have so many residual lemons, after the order of Ocado Chaos, the Gorse Fox decided that he would cook lemon chicken for dinner this evening. The Gorse Fox can report that it was delicious and that the Silver Vixen has asked that he do it again in the future. Praise indeed.
