Fabulous

 It has been a fabulous day. The sun has shone since sunrise and no cloud has dared sully the rich blue of the Sussex sky. It reminds the Gorse Fox of a secretary he once had in Poughkeepsie. She and her husband moved from Poughkeepsie to Tucson. After a year or so she demanded that they return to the Mid Hudson Valley. Why? She was fed up with waking every morning and knowing that the sun would be shining, there would be no clouds, and the temperature would be 70F or more... be it Summer, Autumn, Winter, or Spring. The Gorse Fox suspects that he could put up with such a trial.

Ellie was dropped off about 7:30 and we snapped into the usual regimen, terminating with her being dropped at school. We returned and had a very leisurely breakfast.

The Gorse Fox spent the morning doing some admin and starting to look at cars to replace the Skoda when the contract expires next year. So far, there is no front runner. In fact, so far there is no car that matches what we currently heave, though further investigation is required.

The Silver Vixen decided she wanted to clean the inside of the car after the holiday. This escalated into parts of the body as well. While doing this, Two Hats emerged and dealt with a small crease in the drivers's door that had clearly been caused by a door in a car park. It was almost invisible, but his eagle-eye spotted it and out came the tools. Tim minutes later it was pristine.

This afternoon was spent reading until it was time to collect Ellie from school. The Gorse Fox prepared her dinner whilst the Silver Vixen helped her wrap some presents for a friend's birthday party at the week-end. Pistol Pete came and collected her soon after dinner.
