Ellie was clearly tired last night. It was 7:40 before she woke and wandered into our room. She was still a bit confused. "Grandpa, I can't remember what I am doing on Friday" she said, sounding worried. The Gorse Fox explained that she would be with us until lunchtime and then Daddy would be collecting her. She relaxed, dived onto the bed, and started to torment the Silver Vixen.
We had the normal shopping this morning, with Ellie helping out with the unpacking of Ocado's delivery and fetching and carrying in Sainsbury's. Once back home she was excited to read her book to the Gorse Fox and then to start on a) Play Doh!, b) Painting, c) Paw Patrol toys, d) colouring, and e) eating. This randomly recurring sequence continued until Urban-Cub arrived to collect her.
The Gorse Fox must confess that he got involved with the colouring and found it quite therapeutic. The Silver Vixen had some adult colouring books (mandalas, animals, wildlife etc). The images were immensely intricate and required a great deal of mindful concentration.
