The day started with the Gorse Fox wandering round to Urban-Cub's and joining the escort party taking Ellie to school. She had woken up late but was full of her usual morning joys and eager to get back to school.
The Silver Vixen was out for much of the morning. The Gorse Fox used the time to catch up on the accounts and do some emails. Old Bill called round. He has an appointment at the eye clinic on Saturday, and the Gorse Fox had offered to give him a lift. He had been very hesitant after the long wait he suffered lat time, but the Gorse Fox assured him that this was no problem. It is now fixed in the diary.
When the Silver Vixen got home, Gorse Fox noticed that the dash cam was hanging at an obscure angle. This seems to be a problem that occurs when the windscreen get hot. The Gorse Fox re-affixed the dash cam and went indoors. Time passed (but not a lot) and the car alarm went off. The dash cam was off again. Old adhesive was scraped off and area cleaned. Nano tape was applied and dash cam re-affixed. An hour or so later the dash cam was hanging at an impossible angle, again. The Gorse Fox ordered some special (heat resistant) tape which should arrive tomorrow. In the meantime, the nano tape was removed (which was not easy) and a spare double-sided pad that had come with an old dash cam was pressed into place. Let's see if that stays.
We collected Ellie from school. She is staying with us overnight as Urban-Cub is on a late duty. She has spent the las hour or so reading to us from some of her books. She is doing really well and is managing to recognise and read most of the words in these books.
