The Gorse Fox was up soon after 7:00. Jasper was whingeing and wanted to go out. The Gorse Fox obliged then settled down to his morning coffee.

The Silver Vixen did not have Pilates today so she stayed put when the Gorse Fox headed off for football.

Football was originally scheduled for 18 players. This meant 3 teams of 6 and a round robin over 90 minutes. One dropped out, then another. We had 16 on the list. Two teams of 8. Not ideal, but still manageable. In the end we had another drop out. This meant we had a 7-v-8-v-7 game where one the team of 8 shed a player to the team of 7 for the second half. Over all it was a really good game. The Gorse Fox's Yellow team ended up 5-1 winners. The thing that was most satisfying was the way in which the defence worked together to snuff out the Orange attacking threat.

Traffic was dreadful coming home. In fact, at one point, the Gorse Fox doubled back on himself and took a completely different route home. He has no idea what the deal was but was not sufficiently interested to sit there in the queue and find out.

Back home it has been a quiet afternoon. Late afternoon the Silver Vixen popped round to see Urban-Cub before we had supper. From what she has said, the Coventry Hobbit will be delayed in Spain(*) by the current travel problems and is now coming home a day later than planned.

(*) The Coventry Hobbit had popped over to Spain to see his parents, who live there. It was only planned to be a long weekend but is now that bit longer.
