The installation of the updates to Windows finally completed. Tectonic plates seem to move with more urgency that Windows updates.
The rest of the day has been spent in preparation for our forthcoming trip to Cornwall. The Gorse Fox has been packing, been selecting the cables and chargers necessary, and preparing the Sat Nav. The Silver Vixen has been doing a complete Spring Clean of every aspect of the house and garden. The Gorse Fox has helped where perceived necessary.
The car has been fuelled for the trip and the Gorse Fox has tried to programme the SatNav. Unfortunately, the Sat Nav is as friendly as a cornered rat. It took one attempt, followed by two separate experiments based on the manual to get to the point that the Gorse Fox was ready to blast the SatNav with a shotgun. (The Gorse Fox should point out, at this juncture, that he doesn't have access to a shotgun). Finally, he found a "Routes" setting. It was the "routes" setting that he should have been using all along(as opposed to the "destination" setting). The route, and its subtleties, were programmed into the SatNav. We are ready to rock.
