Another glorious start to the day. Urban-Cub dropped Ellie off to us, but she was not too well. In the end we decided that she should stay at home with us.
The Gorse Fox had football scheduled so headed off to Worthing soon after 9:00. There was a fairly good turn out today and we managed to form 4 teams for the round robin. Unfortunately, the Gorse Fox was on the only team with 6 players, when all the rest had 7. This was another case of backs to the wall defending. Despite our numerical disadvantage we managed to win the first game 1-0, draw the second game 1-1, and win the last game 3-1. The Gorse Fox didn't't feel as if he had played as well as he could do, but was clearly effective enough!
Back home Ellie was just having lunch and Urban-Cub was due to collect her. Once we were on our own, the Silver Vixen and Gorse Fox had a snack before she settled in the Orangery and the Gorse Fox popped back to the Gribble Inn to collect the beer ordered yesterday.
The rest of the afternoon was pretty quiet until Cousteau-Cub turned up on her way home from work. It was lovely to see her, as it has been several weeks since her last visit. She stayed for about an hour and we managed to catch iup on her news: her recent trip to Gran Canaria, Jon's trip to Spain, their planned trip to a friend's wedding in Minorca and the recent hassle with her car. We updated her with our news and plans and she disappeared into the evening sun.
Another lovely day.
