It has been a delightful day. Very quiet, pleasantly warm, a couple of sprinkles of rain, but generally lovely.
The Gorse Fox, once caffeinated and filled with oats, spent some time on the accounts. The Silver Vixen headed out to the garden. She had the shrubs from yesterday's shopping trip to plant. She pottered for much of the day. The Gorse Fox sat and listened to Simon Evans' Podcasts. Unfortunately, he has now caught up... but he loved the description "a City had a Cathedral, a town had a market, a village had an idiot, and a hamlet had a pig - and even that was for rent". Genius.
The Gorse Fox will miss tomorrow's cousins' call. We air heading off to the Oxon/Wilts borders for a meeting of the Silver Vixen's family. It was only polite to explain to the cousins that he would not be on the call. He wrote: "I am sorry, but yet again I am unable to attend this call. The local Platinum Jubilee Parade and Pageant is gathering outside the stable block and whilst the staff are managing the marshalling of floats, vehicles and horses, I have been asked to see it off… then I am taking the salute for the fly past." Hopefully, this will assuage any slight they may have inferred from his absence on the call.
