Cousins

Ellie was dropped off just after 7:00 this morning. Urban-Cub was already at work so Darren had to get her across to us. She was as right as rain and eager to get ready for her "red, white, and blue" day to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee and Birthday. (There are red flashes on the blue dress she was wearing).

The Gorse Fox spent an inordinate amount of time of the phone with EE (our new mobile phone network). All he wanted to do was switch the numbers that had to be registered in their app when the phones were activated to the numbers that were now active - the old numbers we have always had. A very sweet Welsh girl tried to help (clearly working from home, as the Gorse Fox could hear her daughter causing chaos in the background). In the end, having changed a few things, she concluded it would all be ok in the next 24-48 hours. The Gorse Fox is not convinced, but had lost the will to debate it it further.

Much of the afternoon was spent unravelling the Silver Vixen's DNA matches. The Gorse Fox picked one particular match and tried to follow it down through the generations. It took a fair bit of detective work, but in the end the Gorse Fox had added 36 more cousins to the Silver Vixen's tree and we now have a clear link to some 4th cousins on the maternal line.

Just to make life more fun, Jasper has twice decided to vomit over the carpets, today. Fortunately, we were quick to discover it and having gone through the cleanup protocol, the carpets appear unstained.
