Jibber jabber

It had been a hot and steamy night. Ellie was awake soon after 6:30 and wanted to watch the iPad. That seemed like a good solution and (if the volume was low) would give us a further 30 minutes sleep.

After breakfast, and once dressed, Ellie was ready to be collected by the Urban-Cub. The Silver Vixen went with them for Ellie to get her Covid jab (Pfizer). She was very good and made no fuss at all. The Gorse Fox saw her once home and she was her usual cheery self.

The Gorse Fox had his usual cousins' call this morning. This picture of one of our Acers was the backdrop that the selected today.

The Aussie contingent were late to the call, blaming daylight saving time. Everyone else seemed to blame Brexit. ~In fact the conclusions seemed to be that everything wrong with the world : 7,000 cancelled flights in the USA, US gas prices, cost of living in Australia, alignment of the planets, murder of a journalist in Brazil, cost of living in Turkey, Spain, and France, were all consequences of Brexit.

The Gorse Fox has spent much of the rest of the day documenting and checking the home networks. With a switch to full fibre planned for Wednesday, it was important to ensure that all of the static addresses were known and documented. He thinks this is now sorted.

Several hours were also consumed looking at an ancestor. This is because a DNA match has emerged, but the supporting data looks a bit suspect. At this stage, the Gorse Fox thinks he understands the link, but needs documentary proof. (Otherwise it doesn't get into the records). He needs more time time to investigate.
