Lunch

Ellie woke up early, but was happy to amuse herself in her room until it was time to get up. It was another lovely start to the day and she was able to got to school in her PE kit.

The morning had the usual shopping interventions, though Ocado were a bit late - which only ever happens on days when we plan to go out. Once they had delivered, we headed for Sainsbury's and raced round in no time flat.

Old Bill and Lady Penelope were taking us to lunch, by way of a "thank you" for the Gorse Fox taking him to the eye clinic on Saturday. We had agreed to go to "Fino" in Felpham. It was almost empty when we arrived but did have more diners trickling in during our meal. We stuck to their lunchtime menu (as opposed to the A la Carte). The Silver Vixen started with mozzarella bon bone with a salsa and the Gorse Fox had Arancini. Both were light and the ideal starters to get juices flowing. (Old Bill and Lady Penelope both had lovely looking plates of whitebait). For the entrees, the Silver Vixen and Gorse Fox both chose spaghetti carbonara, Lady Penelope chose risotto, and Old Bill had the penne arabiata. The meal was delicious and as it was our suggestion, we were delighted that they liked it and vowed to return.

This afternoon has been quiet. Urban-Cub collected Ellie from school and took her swimming - so we were "off duty".
