Media, Accident and Emergency

There has been a report from the media that there is significant concern at the drop in numbers attending the A&E Departments in the hospitals. Needless to say, they are trying to make an issue out of this when actually it is totally expected by anyone with more than three brain cells.

Why aren't people going to A&E? Is it because they are afraid of getting Coronavirus or of overloading the NHS?

NO!

It's because we are on lockdown.

  • There's fewer cars on the roads; so fewer accidents.
  • There's no sport; so no sports injuries.
  • There are no pubs open; so fewer (no) drunken fights.
  • There are no clubs open; so fewer (no) drunken fights.
  • People can't get about easily; so there are fewer drug deals.
The Gorse Fox despairs of our media.
