Another interesting day. The Gorse Fox spent much of the morning sorting out some household chores, but once they were finished he left the Silver Vixen downstairs working on some face masks while he returned to the study.
The first task was to rationalise the filing of the various DVD and video images so that they made more sense when shown in the Plex menus. He also fired up another of the TVs downstairs and linked it into Plex. This is beginning to look rather good. While this was going on, the Gorse Fox returned to his documentation and brought it up-to-date with all of the "barn owl" installation instructions.
There were several further items that needed tidying up. One was to re-install the mail system on "tawnyowl". This proved to be more troublesome than it should have, but it turns out that the components that the Gorse Fox had used previously have been deprecated and there is a new set of programs top install. That has now been done and the mailing seems to work. There's a bit more testing to do, but it is looking ok.
