Cheek!

It was another nice day. It was quite windy but pleasantly warm. When the domestic chores were out of the way, the Gorse Fox retired to the study to continue the rationalisation and documentation of his various backups. This was well under way when a plaintiff cry wafted up the stairs from the Silver Vixen.

"Should LastPass be sending me messages about attempted logins?"

The Gorse Fox dropped everything. "No! It shouldn't"

The next hour or so was spent trying to determine what was going on, and whether there was a concerted attempt to hack into our system was underway. What a cheek! The one portal we have that is open to the network is Plex Remote Access. That was immediately shutdown. The Gorse Fox then started analysing everything that was running on all our systems. Was there some Malware in the system? He was stumped.

In the end he removed the sharing features from the Silver Vixen's LastPass account and then changed the password. He logged back in to the MacBook, the iPhone, and the iPad. All of them connected without incident. No further messages were received. The sharing features were reconnected and all is well in the land.

After lunch there was the obligatory trip to Sainsbury's for items that Ocado hadn't got, and to select something for Sunday's lunch.

Once back, he returned to the study and the rationalisation of backups. He has freed up tens of Gigabytes of space so far, and has a much clearer hierarchy of backups in plan. There's still work to do, but it is pretty neat.

The nice man from Amazon turned up with some magic "nano" tape. This tape is "slipless, double-sided adhesive, reusable and washable, traceless and  when it gets dirty, you can wash it with water and dry it to regain its stickiness". The Gorse Fox is very impressed. It is currently holding several of the Raspberry Pis in position on the desk... and they aren't going anywhere!
