Urban-Cub's car is due for the renewal of its annual Road Fund License. This requires an MOT. There is such a backlog of MOTs at present that it is hard to get one scheduled. She was lucky, she managed to find a garage near the Bognor Hospital that could sort her out today. This meant that the Gorse Fox had to follow her to the garage and then drop her at work. Meanwhile, the Silver Vixen sorted Ellie out and took her to school.
After the initial excitement we settled down for breakfast and and waited for the Ocado man to knock. Once the shopping was put away we headed to Sainsbury's for our usual top-up. Talking of topping up, we also filled the car as we have the drive to Milton Keynes and back on Saturday. (Saturday is Dom's birthday celebration and Denise has organised a buffet lunch in a pub there).
The Gorse Fox was conscious that it was a while since he had applied any updates to the Silver Vixen's MacBook. We had a couple of hours before we were scheduled to collect Ellie, so it seemed like the ideal time. Well, it would have been had the update not hung... three times. In the end, the Gorse Fox rebooted in Safe Mode and reapplied the update. This time it worked.
We took Ellie to the park straight from school and she was able to play with her school friends for a good 45 minutes before we headed home.
As we sat down for dinner (we tend to eat early) we got the message from Urban-Cub that her car was ready for collection. The Gorse Fox and Ellie hopped into the Skoda and whizzed in to Chichester to collect Urban-Cub. he dropped them both at the garage and drove home. Dinner finished, dishes done, now for a quiet evening!
