A lovely leisurely start to the day and the Gorse Fox was greeted by rain. By this he means that, whereas. he usually hears the rain and is not surprised, today he hadn't heard it and was quite surprised when he went out to the Orangery to open the blinds and saw that it was pouring down.
The Silver Vixen had some clothes, purchased last week, that she wanted to exchange. We made the most of our bus passes and zoomed in to Chichester. The Silver Vixen sorted out her purchases and the Gorse Fox went into M&S to replace some ageing underwear. Once we had met back up we then went on a hunt for a new everyday coat for the Silver Vixen. We tried a number of shops before finding the ideal coat in "Cotswolds". It was a bit more than she had expected to pay, but it had a good guarantee, and was 100% waterproof and the right length. Job done.
Back home it has been a quiet afternoon. The Silver Vixen has been sewing and the Gorse Fox has been in his study looking to see if there are any options for a short break around the time of the Silver Vixen's birthday. There are several candidates, but we also have to consider whether we need to care for Ellie that weekend, and what we would do with Jasper. No decisions have been made.
