Despite our concerns regarding the change in the clocks, Ellie slept through until 7:15GMT. She had had quite a cough and was clearly very tired when she went to bed. The good 13 hours of sleep must have done her good.
The Gorse Fox had football this morning. We had had overnight storms and there was debris across the roads and a lot of standing water on the roads. W~hen the Gorse Fox arrived at the Arun Sports Arena, he was the only car in the car park. It turns out that all outdoor games had been cancelled. Our indoor game was one of the only two scheduled matches for the day.
The sides, on paper, looked quite even. In practise this was not the case. The algorithm had failed. The two best players on the yellow team decided to play in defence. This threw the algorithm. By half-time the Gorse Fox's orange team were 12-3 ahead (including at least two goals from the Gorse Fox). At half-time the Gorse Fox moved players between the teams in an effort to even things up. It helped. It didn't solve the problem, though. The Gorse Fox isn't sure what the final score was. He certainly scored in the second half, and so di the opposition. If he was to guess he would say they final score was in the region of 18-8... but then again, he suspects we had all stopped keeping score.
Urban-Cub brought Ellie back to us this evening. She will be staying overnight as Urban-Cub has an early start at the store.
