Usual start to the day with Urban-Cub dropping Ellie off at about 7:30. A usual she was eager to get to school and needed a bit of a push to get some breakfast inside her before getting washed and dressed. We dropped her off at the usual time then headed home for breakfast.
The Gorse Fox took the opportunity, while eating breakfast, to book some tickets to go and see the latest Bond film (ion Monday). The Gorse Fox picked an early showing in the hope that the cinema would be sparsely occupied.
Once some administrative chores were out of the way, he returned to the construction of the computer game for Ellie. After a and hour or two, we had a version that fulfilled his original brief. The problem is that, as usual, he has thought of a series of improvements and extensions that he could make. This will have to wait for tomorrow.
We picked Ellie up from school. She was clearly very tired. She hardly spoke during the walk home. When she did get home there was a bit of a melt-down over whether the banana she had requested should have bee cut in half or not. It had been. It shouldn't have been. Then she wanted her dummy. This was back at her house. We let her rant for a while until she calmed down. After that, she was as good as gold. Clearly the full school week pushes her to her limit and she needs to reset when she finishes.
