Pre-pack

We enjoyed a lie-in. I got up around 7:30 and took Di a cup of tea so that she could emerge whenever she felt like it.

I had checked the irrigation system (which had switched on at 07:30) only to find that it was squirting water all over the patio, rather than through the hoses and drippers. I switched it off and will report it to our chappie when he returns tomorrow.

The day was grey and wet. It was not conducive to walking, and Di spent much of the day giving me a fashion show of the couture she planned to take on our forthcoming cruise. That was enough to trigger me to look at my checklists and start preparing the cables, adapters and technology that I will take on the trip. It also got me thinking about the number of items of underwear that I would need for the trip. Ticking off socks, pants, and so forth, I decided that some had seen better days and ended up buying some more of M&S's finest trunks.

I did manage to get some reading done this afternoon and finished another book, starting another immediately.
