Just stuff

When we collect Ellie from school and ask what she's been doing, she usually responds, "Just stuff". It's not until later that she starts to elaborate. That seems like the perfect model for today. There was no theme to the day; it was just stuff.

I didn't have to get up early to greet Ellie as Zoe wasn't starting early today. I had my coffee and wandered around the corner to join them on the walk to school. As it happened, it was a good job as Zoe had an unscheduled all-hands conference call that she had to field while walking to school. 

I didn't get my early morning walk. The landscaper was due back to fix the last leaks in the irrigation system, and I needed to be on hand to check that everything was done. When he left, I was able to go for a walk, stopping in the village to post some cards and to get my hair cut. Back home, I finished upgrading the iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and iMac to the latest iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe.  Once these were ready, I then spent time on YouTube trying to get to grips with the new features. Some are purely cosmetic, but others (like windowing on the iPad) will be very useful.

After lunch, we had some Kindle time before going to collect Ellie from school. She and I stopped at the park on the way home, but as the sky was looking threatening, Di went straight back to bring the washing in. We didn't stay at the park for long as it started to rain, so we headed back.

Zoe collected Ellie soon after 17:00. She has a day off tomorrow, so there is no imperative driving me to get up early... but who knows!
