Berkeley Homes, the developers of our houses, hold a couple of events each year. The idea is to help build the community and get people to mix and get to know each other. This has worked really well.
Tonight was 2018's summer event. (They also hold one in the winter). Berkeley laid on a hog roast, provided beers, Pimms, mojitos, and soft drinks, and even arranged for an ice cream van to be on site to provide free ice creams and lollies in the heat.
It was a lovely event as people milled around and chatted. The hog roast was the perfect accompaniment with lashings of pork, crackling, and stuffing. Berkeley execs were on hand to field any issues and help orient some of the newer householders. The only thing that marred the evening was that Tinkerbell got stung by a wasp and had to go home as she was not feeling so well.
