Short

Another very warm day - high clouds make it very bright and slightly humid. Not the slightest hint of the rain that the garden would welcome.

We were short handed today. Not enough players for the usual football game. As we had some notice, the Gorse Fox and the Silver Vixen went across to Haskins for breakfast.  It wasn't as busy as usual, but that could be a factor of the good weather and the start of the school holidays. It's always a good breakfast and a reasonable price, and it sets us up for the day.

From Haskins we headed to Chichester. We needed to go to John Lewis for a table lamp that matched one we bought a week or so back. This is a match, colour-wise, but quite deliberately a different size. One will stand either end of the lounge. The size difference will achieve a degree of balance without it being symmetrical. Technology done, it's over to the Silver Vixen for the creative finishing touches (technically known as faffing).
