It was another lovely Autumn day. The sun shone, clouds scudded across the firmament and all was well in Sussex. The Gorse Fox had to choose the teams for this morning's football, but with the help of some code he cam up with a fairly balanced squad.
The Silver Vixen spent a chink of the morning on the phone with Cousteau-Cub, which was lovely. She has a birthday coming up this week and is in throws of leaving one job and starting another.
The Gorse Fox went to football. This was a 5-v-6 game where he played for the yellow team of 5. By halftime we were 4-2 down, but the Gorse Fox had scored both of our goals. In the second half the balance changed as we swapped goalies and our other "premier" player was now on the pitch rather than standing between the sticks. We soon caught up and went into the lead. The problem was that we were still outnumbered and began to tire. The Gorse Fox scored a couple more goals (making it four for the match) but we ended up with a score of 10-10.
Once back home the Gorse Fox contacted the Urban-Cub. We had to finish sorting out the new printer. After some thought overnight he concluded the printer was not correctly connected to the WiFi network. He started again. This time the arcane spell and sacrifice of several bats and a fatted calf seemed to do the trick. When he left the the printer was working on all required devices.
(Talking of overnight, the Gorse Fox dreamed for some obscure reason that he was running from Oakwood to Cockfosters with Rita Chakrabati, the Newsreader, and explaining that he used to do this a lot as a teenager - Bizarre!!!)
