There is very little that is worthy or comment today. The Gorse Fox had the usual cousins' call at 9:00 and then got on with a few chores. Much of the rest of the day has been spent buried in books.
One brief interlude was the distraction of finding a suitable Birthday present for the Coventry Hobbit. Cousteau-Cub had given one suggestion, but investigation showed this to be a non-starter. The Gorse Fox offered and alternative. This, however, wouldn't work. In the end, there was the suggestion of some football batch tickets. Ah ha! The Gorse Fox might be able to manage this.
He tried Portsmouth FC but no tickets were available for home matches in the next couple of months. He then tried Brighton. He had to register with the club, but managed to get a pair of tickets for their home match against Notts Forest in October. Hopefully, this will suit the Coventry Hobbit and Cousteau-Cub.
Registering for the Brighton tickets meant that the Gorse Fox, a member at Tottenham Hotspur, is also registered with Coventry City (a previous present for the Coventry Hobbit), Southampton (a previous present for Pistol Pete), and now Brighton. He keeps wondering about getting a season ticket but isn't sure he would really use it... for any of the clubs.
