Term

 There was a gentle start to the day. The Gorse Fox got himself ready for football and the Silver Vixen settled down to read the papers.

The Coventry Hobbit joined us for football. He and the Gorse Fox were on the same side - playing 5 against 6. The Gorse Fox had expected that the team of 5 would tire and start to concede after the break. That was exactly what happened. At half-time the yellow team (with the Coventry Hobbit and Gorse Fox) were 7-1 up with 4 goals from the Coventry Hobbit and 2 from the Gorse Fox. In the second half everything started to even up. The game finished 8-8. It was great fun, but hard work on the depleted team,

The afternoon was spent reading until dinner was ready. Soon after dinner, Urban-Cub turned up with Ellie - she will be staying with us overnight as Urban-Cub has a 5 a.m. start tomorrow. We will need to get Ellie to her first day in Year One, at school - though Urban-Cub will collect her at the end of the day.
