It was a somewhat more leisurely start to the day. Ellie was awake soon after six, but was happy to play quietly in her bedroom. In fact, she stayed there until long after the Gorse Fox had gone down to make some coffee. When she did come down, it took her a few minutes to realise that she hadn't yet found Poppy the Elf, and immediately set out on an elf hunt.
It turns out that Poppy had found a spot in Urban-Cub's Wellington boot in the cupboard under the stairs.
Ellie will be spending the rest of the weekend with Pistol Pete, so Urban-Cub took her across to Worthing so she could help him with the decorations.
Talking of decorations, it seemed like a good opportunity to retrieve ours from the various nooks and crannies where they are stored throughout the year. The Gorse Fox sorted out a few initial sets of lights, put up the tree, but then stood back as the Silver Vixen swept in to take over all decorative operations.
The Gorse Fox managed to get a short walk under his belt. While walking he found a credit card, so posted on the local Facebook page. By the time he got home the owner had made contact and sent her husband round to collect it.
The Gorse Fox spent the rest of the day working on the computer trying to finish the tiling plan, based on Simon the Landscaper's ideas.
