Measuring up

 Ellie was awake first, but stayed in her room until long after the Gorse Fox had gone down for his coffee and to open up. In fact, the Silver Vixen emerged before Ellie and Urban-Cub. Ellie had forgotten about Poppy the Elf and the Gorse Fox had to remind her to go and find the little tyke. She was quite thorough in checking places that the Elf had been before but it took her a few minutes finally notice that she was enjoying some "Hula Hoops" on top of the clock.

The main excitement for the day was that Urban-Cub could finally go and see inside her new house. Because of Covid restrictions she had to go alone, but she went fully armed with her notebook to take measurements, and phone to take copious photos. She was very excited when she got home, barely able to suppress tears of happiness. We threw the photos up on the big TV so we could all have a good look. It is certainly looking very good, and as you would expect from Berkeley, the finish is superb.

Ellie is over with Pistol Pete for the weekend and not expected back until after dinner on Monday. Urban-Cub took the opportunity to commandeer the kitchen work surface to do her Christmas wrapping this afternoon. The Gorse Fox has retired to his study.
