Frost

It was a very cold night last night (for here). This morning there was a thick frost and the oranger roof was completely frosted over. A slight fog lay across the area. Oh well, at least the Gorse Fox didn't have to go to work!

It seems that Poppy the Elf has found a new spot overnight, though Ellie won't get home until tea time to find him. Let's see how long it takes her.

Simon the Landscaper has had a full day. There was some hardcore to finish and some holes to bore in the edging. These are to allow cabling for the lights in such a way that it remains accessible even when the tiles are down. Unfortunately, he had made an assumption as to where the lights would stop, but we decided they should go further. He now has to order another set, which won't be here until Thursday. He also had an "oops" moment when he bored right through the edging and through the pump cable for the rill. Now he has to run some new cable. Hey ho! These things happen.

Urban-cub got a text message this morning from her new boss saying how much he was looking forward to having her on board tomorrow. A nice touch. She just can't wait to throw herself into the new opportunity.

Urban-cub and the Silver Vixen have been in Chichester this afternoon, so the Gorse Fox took the opportunity to go for a walk, post the first tranche of Christmas cards, and stop at the Post Office for more stamps. He hasn't yet booked for football tomorrow. With Urban-cub starting her new job, and Ellie slightly under the weather, he will make a judgement call in the morning.
