Scratch an Itch

It has been a lovely day after the rain that we had earlier in the week. I went to Zoe's to make sure everything was on track for school. I needn't have worried. Ellie had sorted herself out and was all ready except for her hair, which Zoe sorted out for her.  I walked her to school and then set off for my pre-breakfast walk. I was wearing a light fleece, and it proved way too warm for the conditions (not that I'm complaining).

Back home, with breakfast finished, Di wanted to process a couple of loads of laundry, and I updated the accounts before filing old documents related to the purchase of our house in Hook, back in 1985. Once Di was ready, we went out to scratch an itch.

Di has been rather taken with the TV adverts for the BYD range of cars. BYD are about to open a dealership in Chichester, and though it is not open yet, there is a fine display of their cars on the forecourt. We decided to go and take a look to see what was on offer. I must say they looked very impressive, but until the showroom opens, we could only browse the exteriors of the range. While we were there, we also took a look at Toyota and Peugeot, which have dealerships on the same campus. I was rather taken with the Peugeot 3008, but we are not in the immediate market to change cars.

We had a quiet afternoon in the Orangery until it was time to collect Ellie and take her home. Leaving her with Zoe, we returned home, and I spent some time sorting out the Kindle Library for Di. I think I have now cleared her Kindle device of all read books, leaving only those that she hasn't yet read.
