There was no hurry to get up, this morning. The Gorse Fox wandered downstairs and made the first coffee of the day (after clearing up the mess Jasper had left in his litter tray - Not the most pleasant sight or smell with which to greet the day). The Silver Vixen followed some 45 minutes later (coming downstairs, that is, not using the litter tray).
We had the regular Saturday morning call with the cousins. It seemed to fly by this morning. As usual, it was 30-40 minutes of laughter and banter, Once the call was over, the Gorse Fox returned to the 2021 extract of this blog. Yesterday, he had started to post-process it using MS Word. Today he picked up where he had left off. He thought that it would only take an hour or so. It actually took six hours. Once the punctuation, grammar, and spelling had been corrected, he had to start back at the beginning and try to sort out all of the photos. The first 6 months of the year required each photo to be retrieved from his library and reinserted into the document. For some reason, however, the photos in the second half of the year were predominantly correct and required very little tweaking. The document was finally complete. A "pdf" has been created, documenting the whole of 2021. It runs to nearly 355 pages and occupies over 36GB of storage.
With 2021 complete, the Gorse Fox has started on the 2022 blog extract.
Late in the afternoon, the Gorse Fox received a phone summons from Urban-Cub. They have been fiddling with their living room layout and that involved rewiring the TV. She now appears to be able to get hundreds of channels but not the traditional terrestrial channels. The Gorse Fox pointed out that the newer Samsung TVs do not include FreeView and she would need to reconnect her Humax Freeview box. Connections were made and tested. Channels are now available. If there is another way to get the channels without that box, she needs to research it.
Football is confirmed for tomorrow morning. Hurray!
